Samuel Peli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Mario Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Igor Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Abechuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Abechuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Arce in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Igor Arce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Edelmiro Abechuco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cleto Brun charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Brun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Abechuco in the 32nd minute of play forced Avenged Sevenfold's goalkeeper Samuel Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Igor Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Abechuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Arce to make the kick off. In the 53rd play minute Everardo Napier came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edelmiro Abechuco. 1-2. Edelmiro Abechuco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Everardo Napier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 73 minute of play. Adan Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Peli having to interfere.
