The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberto Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Blai, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th match minute, C.A. Romang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Hulberto to maneuver through the defense. Severo Geleberto struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Fermin Xabel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zavalía FC. After a defensive mix-up in Zavalía FC's zone, Higinio Blai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Pancho came out of the goal and Higinio Blai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when C.A. Romang's Higinio Blai in the 13th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alberto Pancho was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Zavalía FC through an amazing save. A collision led to Zavalía FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Carlos Ascencio hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Zavalía FC defense, Alejandro Hulberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Pancho. The Zavalía FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Pancho should have stopped the shot. Higinio Blai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Zavalía FC's zone, Higinio Blai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Pancho came out of the goal and Higinio Blai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Higinio Blai struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Casimiro Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pancho having to interfere. Higinio Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pancho having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Higinio Blai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severo Geleberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fermin Xabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Jeraldo was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Astudillo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Roberto Iratxo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fermin Xabel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severo Geleberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Xabel having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, C.A. Romang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Hulberto to maneuver through the defense. Albano Orlondon hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Severo Geleberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Xabel having to interfere. Severo Geleberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Fermin Xabel made a huge save. With splendid footwork Modesto Ignatius arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 78th minute. Alberto Pancho came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Romang's Higinio Blai. But to his dismay, Higinio Blai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 91st minute, Carlos Ascencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pancho having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A. Romang fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zavalía FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
