After 7 played minutes Mercedes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Gitano. In the 9th minute, Olivia FC's Gogo Sazon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gonzalo Valentine. Gonzalo Valentine yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Narciso Buinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gonzalo Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gogo Sazon struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gonzalo Valentine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olivia FC. After a rather tough play, Olivia FC's Honorio Bemabe got a free kick in the 25th minute. Honorio Bemabe hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Bonifacio Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Acuña in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Nel saved Olivia FC from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Bernabe Gonchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Acuña scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Nel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gogo Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Joel Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Narciso Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Olivia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Buinton couldn't finish the play. If Gogo Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Gomez's late challenge caught a Mercedes AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gogo Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Gogo Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olivia FC's Mauro Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Acuña in the 71st minute of play. In the 78th minute Joel Acuña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Benicio Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A well placed Joel Acuña short distance shot in the 84th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Claudio Quico's late challenge caught a Olivia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Quico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Claudio Quico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gogo Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gogo Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mercedes AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mercedes AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
