Madrejón's Gonzalo Erasto got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Mel having to interfere. After some careless play in the Villa San Carlos defense, Hector Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Mel. The Villa San Carlos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Mel should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Florencio Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa San Carlos's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Laurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Beltza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arsenio Itzaina hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 39th minute, where Villa San Carlos:s Arsenio Itzaina tricked Madrejón:s Humberto Beltza with a difficult ball by the left post. Madrejón's Hector Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonzalo Erasto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Basilio Oinaz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Beltza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Gonzalo Erasto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villa San Carlos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Villa San Carlos's Cayetano Mel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Villa San Carlos from getting a goal against them. Hector Enmanuel struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cayetano Mel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madrejón. Hector Enmanuel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Mel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Florencio Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa San Carlos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Laurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Mel having to interfere. Madrejón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
