Geronimo Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Chayo in the 4th minute of play. Hector Enmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Matei having to interfere. Santo Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Humberto Beltza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Galo might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Beltza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Galo ran back to his position shaking his head. Hector Enmanuel's late challenge caught a Salomillo AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Enmanuel helped the player get up and apologised. Gonzalo Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Geronimo Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salomillo AC's Geronimo Matei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Salomillo AC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Fabian Kiliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Galo in the 38th minute of play forced Madrejón's goalkeeper Humberto Beltza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Beltza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Blasi in the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Madrejón. Benigno Ebardo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geronimo Matei. 1-0. In the 48th minute Santo Galo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Beltza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santo Galo to strike the kick off in the second half. Atilano Blasi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Beltza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Santo Galo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Beltza having to interfere. Madrejón's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Enmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Matei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geronimo Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Erasto in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Madrejón booed when Salomillo AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sugoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Salomillo AC's zone, Hector Enmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Matei came out of the goal and Hector Enmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Beltza was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Atilano Blasi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Atilano Blasi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 75 minutes into the match, Salomillo AC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Erasto came free, but Geronimo Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Enmanuel in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Matei saved Salomillo AC from getting behind. Madrejón's Humberto Beltza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Madrejón from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the game, Ismael Garin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madrejón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salomillo AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Madrejón's Ismael Garin got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of Salomillo AC booed when Madrejón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Chayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Santo Galo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Salomillo AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Galo couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
