Carmelo Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Matxin having to interfere. Elpidio Balendin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Isaac Eguen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Ospin in the 9th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Pagancillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Quirze. In the 20th minute, Elpidio Balendin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chañar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Ospin in the 23rd minute of play forced Pagancillo FC's goalkeeper Isaac Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Bonifacio Goi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Iliana during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Iliana kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Hermengildo Amaya shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Matxin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 36th minute of the match Jonathan Iliana completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jonathan Iliana a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 37 played minutes Chañar got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Iliana. If Carmelo Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elpidio Balendin came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Chañar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Balendin couldn't finish the play. Isaac Eguen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Balendin in the 44th minute. Elpidio Balendin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Isaac Eguen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifacio Goi to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Orlando Urtats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Ibañez kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Orlando Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute Esteban Ospin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Chañar's protests and gave Filomeno Theobald a yellow card for diving instead. Filomeno Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Pagancillo FC's Carmelo Gilabert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Matxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Pagancillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Balendin came free, but Isaac Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
