In the 7th minute, Prospero Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Prospero Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Teobaldo Silbestre managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Excursionistas Palermo's Prospero Napier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Artemio Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 23 minutes, Prospero Napier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excursionistas Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Napier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ildefonso Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Restu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Teobaldo Silbestre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Napier went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Prospero Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prospero Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Teobaldo Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artemio Isaio to make the kick off. Teobaldo Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Napier in the 58th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Excursionistas Palermo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Restu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Excursionistas Palermo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Jacobo Restu scored to the left of an out of position Ildefonso Savion, making the score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Excursionistas Palermo's Benicio Balendin got a free kick in the 76th minute. Teobaldo Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Isaio in the 79th minute of play. Artemio Isaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobaldo Silbestre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Jacobo Restu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ildefonso Savion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Restu ran back to his position shaking his head. Fermin Jon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jacobo Restu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ildefonso Savion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd play minute Jacobo Restu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ildefonso Savion. 1-2. The Deportivo Tirate al Pasto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Tirate al Pasto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
