The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danilo Gombal came out of the goal and Isidoro Cordaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Juan Sebastian fc booed when Duff United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aquilino Brun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Patricio Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Ovidio Frechoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edelmiro Sabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Gombal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Sabin in the 36th minute of play forced Juan Sebastian fc's goalkeeper Danilo Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Juan Sebastian fc got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Fresco. When Isidoro Cordaro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Duff United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Cordaro couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Isidoro Cordaro made the kick off in the second half. Duff United's Aquilino Brun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Frechoso in the 71st minute of play. Ovidio Frechoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Patricio Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sebastian fc's Danilo Gombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Cordaro in the 80th minute of play. Patricio Tanio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Brun having to interfere. If Isidro Bembe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Juan Sebastian fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Izotz to maneuver through the defense. Duff United's Aquilino Brun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Tanio in the 93rd minute of play. If Isidoro Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
