Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Enzo Bras kicked off to start the match. RIVER PLATE's Bonifacio Argina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Bras in the 11th minute of play. Baltasar Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gavino Fagildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bonifacio Argina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Placido Sayvion hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Laureano Nafarroa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bonifacio Argina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Nafarroa in the 24th minute of play forced RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Bonifacio Argina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Eron hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Bras in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Argina saved RIVER PLATE from getting behind. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Baldomiro Dolfos got a free kick in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes Fabio Breogan shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for RIVER PLATE's Bonifacio Argina to catch but Fabio Breogan was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Laureano Nafarroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Bonifacio Argina made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Macclesfield Town's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Johans came free, but Gavino Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laureano Nafarroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. After 66 played minutes Macclesfield Town got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Nafarroa. 69 minutes into the match, Macclesfield Town's Laureano Nafarroa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bonifacio Argina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Enzo Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Marz's late challenge caught a RIVER PLATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Macclesfield Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Marz to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Baltasar Koldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Fagildo. Macclesfield Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Koldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After having played for 95 minutes, Laureano Nafarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macclesfield Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laureano Nafarroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Macclesfield Town's Laureano Nafarroa got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Macclesfield Town eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
