Astor Corderun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto George having to make a save. After some careless play in the Libertadores de S.C defense, Astor Corderun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto George. The Libertadores de S.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto George should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salto FC's goalkeeper Camilo Berasko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Salto FC's Astor Corderun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto George narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salto FC's Astor Corderun got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leandro Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto George having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Libertadores de S.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Sol to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Camilo Berasko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Tomi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Esteban Tomi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Libertadores de S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Tomi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Berasko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Tomi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Esteban Tomi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Berasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Libertadores de S.C got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Luar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Tomi in the 61st minute of play forced Salto FC's goalkeeper Camilo Berasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Libertadores de S.C getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bartolo Enol hit a great ball. Abelardo Vergaray took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto George. Libertadores de S.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Astor Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Tomi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Camilo Berasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salto FC's Camilo Berasko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Salto FC from getting a goal against them. Astor Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Guaberto George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Corderun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Libertadores de S.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
