When Edgardo Tulio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Kaizers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Tulio couldn't finish the play. Edgard Raebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alejandro George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Edgard Raebert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaizers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Raebert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas Abella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Abastas in the 30th minute. If Bruno Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfredo Paulin fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaizers FC's protests and gave Alfredo Paulin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Alfredo Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Nayely was the one to do the kick off. Kaizers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Martes the free kick. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaizers FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Abella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejandro George didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Raebert went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Deportivo Martes getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Gilberto Vachon hit a great ball. Edgard Raebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Michael kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Edgardo Tulio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alejandro George, 1-2. Kaizers FC's Nicolas Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Nayely in the 88th minute of play. Kaizers FC's Filomeno Birila got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Filomeno Birila off the ground. In the 89th minute, Filomeno Birila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Efren's late challenge caught a Deportivo Martes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
