In the 2nd match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Chuse to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nemesio Joanes came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the La Academia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Joanes couldn't finish the play. Higinio Arias struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Leopoldo Rufio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Academia . In the 22nd minute of the match Mateo Sindo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Rufio skillfully saved the ball. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dolores! The referee gave La Academia a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Placido Arotza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dolores's Leopoldo Rufio. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Fraco in the 30th minute of play forced Dolores's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rufio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolores's Leopoldo Rufio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Joanes in the 38th minute of play. Christian Dei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

A collision led to La Academia getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Godfredo Chuse hit a great ball. Godfredo Chuse charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Chuse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 58 minutes into the game, Higinio Arias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Leopoldo Rufio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Arias got free with Leopoldo Rufio in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Dolores's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Joanes came free, but Leopoldo Rufio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When La Academia 's Nemesio Joanes in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Dolores's zone, Nemesio Joanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Rufio came out of the goal and Nemesio Joanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Higinio Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Academia 's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
