Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tafí AFC's Abelardo Vergaray started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Sixto Artaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tafí AFC's Amancio Orkatz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amancio Orkatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Sixto Artaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Artaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Tafí AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Solustiano came free, but Amancio Orkatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Tafí AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Artaldo came free, but Amancio Orkatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Orkatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Artaldo in the 17th minute of play. Ubaldo Cordaryal kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Horacio Socorro spun around in front of the goal 22 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pedernal's goal. In the 24th minute, Alonzo Bizen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedernal's Ricardo Aguirre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Vergaray in the 26th minute of play. If Sixto Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Horacio Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abelardo Vergaray was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Amancio Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Solustiano in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Abelardo Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Aguirre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Artaldo's late challenge caught a Tafí AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixto Artaldo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Abelardo Vergaray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tafí AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidoro Solustiano made a kick off. If Honorio Abecia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 played minutes Tafí AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Montel. Abelardo Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aguirre having to interfere. Horacio Socorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sixto Artaldo scored 1-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amancio Orkatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Aguirre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Socorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jorge Orti fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedernal's protests and gave Jorge Orti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Jorge Orti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pedernal! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Tafí AFC. Justo Larpe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ricardo Aguirre. 2-1. Honorato Chayo's late challenge caught a Pedernal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Chayo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Honorato Chayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Socorro in the 81st minute of play forced Pedernal's goalkeeper Ricardo Aguirre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Socorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ricardo Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Solustiano in the 88th minute of the match. Amancio Orkatz made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Sixto Artaldo sent off a good shot on target. The audience held their breath when Justo Larpe in the 99th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ricardo Aguirre's left hand side. Tafí AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
