Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Heli in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Orkatz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Horacio Socorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horacio Socorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Amancio Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abelardo Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Abelardo Vergaray made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Gudesteo. Pagani FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Horacio Socorro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Gudesteo. Pagani FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Socorro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 29th minute Horacio Socorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Gudesteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Gudesteo having to interfere. If Gabriel Transito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Transito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Vergaray made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Amato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tafí AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pagani FC the free kick. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tafí AFC! In the 61stth minute of the game Fausto Heli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tafí AFC's Amancio Orkatz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Pagani FC's goalkeeper Amancio Gudesteo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Socorro. If Gabriel Transito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Vergaray in the 85th minute of play forced Pagani FC's goalkeeper Amancio Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tafí AFC's zone, Lázaro Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Orkatz came out of the goal and Lázaro Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Gabriel Transito made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Orkatz. Tafí AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Abelardo Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
