Amancio Oier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Domingues's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Saladero's Severo Ursino got a free kick in the 11th minute. Severo Ursino charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severo Ursino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geronimo Lluques, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Enzo Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Nalo in the 18th minute of play. If Romeo Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Saladero's Ciriaco Viator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Matei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes, Rosendo Lluis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Selvas and the Saladero players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 minutes Selvas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benjamin Maldonado who took care of the corner kick. Saladero's Aristides Cordeal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Enzo Matei in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The wind increased when Romeo Domingues made the kick off in the second half. Ciriaco Viator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Jon hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Nalo in the 61st minute of play forced Selvas's goalkeeper Enzo Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Saladero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saladero fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Geronimo Lluques shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 78 minutes into the game, Benjamin Maldonado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saladero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selvas the free kick. In the 78th minute, Benjamin Maldonado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Saladero's Ciriaco Viator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Matei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 minutes, Ambrosio Ceandro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Selvas and the Saladero players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Selvas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Ceandro to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, one of Selvas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Selvas. The referee gave Saladero a penalty, 100 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benjamin Maldonado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Selvas's Enzo Matei. 0-1. Saladero's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
