LOS MEJORES's Carolo Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Emmanuel in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Lazcano made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Marcelo Palben shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carolo Ekialde showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leon Gar charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. LOS MEJORES's Carolo Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Markel in the 57th minute of play. Maximo Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Emmanuel in the 77th minute of play forced LOS MEJORES's goalkeeper Carolo Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Ler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Lazcano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Abel Lazcano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Maximo Ler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute Ernesto Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The LOS MEJORES supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LOS MEJORES would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
