The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 8th minute, when mattaldi.fc's Rene Crescencio after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Teodoro Etxeberri in Santamarina AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Romulo Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marciano Gauargi's late challenge caught a mattaldi.fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Gauargi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of mattaldi.fc booed when Santamarina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Gauargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santamarina AFC's goalie and right to Alejo Berasko. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santamarina AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santamarina AFC's zone, Romulo Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Etxeberri came out of the goal and Romulo Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the game, Narciso Larra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. mattaldi.fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santamarina AFC the free kick. Moises Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Tono in the 29th minute of the match. Faustino Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Moises Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 34 in the game by Alejo Berasko from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Etxeberri managed to make a qualified save. Santamarina AFC's players were relieved. Romulo Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Etxeberri having to interfere. When Adolfo Aznaro fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santamarina AFC's protests and gave Adolfo Aznaro a yellow card for diving instead. Adolfo Aznaro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Teodoro Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Berasko in the 46th minute of play. After 49 played minutes Santamarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Arixo.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Tono to make the kick off. When Gregorio Monico fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santamarina AFC's protests and gave Gregorio Monico a yellow card for diving instead. Gregorio Monico hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Faustino Tono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Tono in the 63rd minute of play forced mattaldi.fc's goalkeeper Moises Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Moises Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Arixo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 73rd minute Romulo Liher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alejo Berasko came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the mattaldi.fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Berasko couldn't finish the play. Alejo Berasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Etxeberri having to interfere. Moises Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Santamarina AFC's Eliseo Arixo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moises Flores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Liher in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Etxeberri saved Santamarina AFC from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, mattaldi.fc's goalkeeper Moises Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Tono. Teodoro Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Larra in the 90th minute of play. If Romulo Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Flores having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
