In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Hinojo. Benigno Theodore stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santo Olayo. 1-0. Arnaldo Kepa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Olayo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AG-Futbol Club's zone, Arnaldo Kepa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Olayo came out of the goal and Arnaldo Kepa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind AG-Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santo Olayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amado Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinicio Herrera got free with Santo Olayo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vinicio Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Olayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Amado Caetano took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Rius. Cayetano Rius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Cayetano Rius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Caetano in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Hinojo's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Caetano came free, but Cayetano Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Kepa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Raul Peio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Peio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Rius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Vinicio Herrera struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Santo Olayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hinojo.
