The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Arnaldo Farias came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Polledo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Farias couldn't finish the play. Claudio Basualdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Quinten in the 9th minute of the match. Alonzo Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Arturo Quinten made the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Farias struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Many of Polledo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Polledo may have spent more time on the ball, but Alpachiri AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
