Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristo Licerio started the match with the kick off. Felipe Frutos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ariando in the 7th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Javier Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Otoniel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 10th playminute. Joaquin Otoniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Cristo Licerio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 17th minute, Raimundo Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ariando in the 20th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Javier Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's Javier Tximitx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Ariando in the 24th minute of play. Felipe Frutos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Licerio in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Ariando in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Tximitx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Raimundo Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Tximitx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Kepa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Frutos having to interfere. With his leg Felipe Frutos managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when River Plate's Joaquin Otoniel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Raimundo Berriotxoa fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piamonte's protests and gave Raimundo Berriotxoa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Raimundo Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Joaquin Otoniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Otoniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Joaquin Otoniel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Felipe Frutos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Ariando to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Joaquin Otoniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Otoniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Poncio shot from long distance in the 56th minute, but Javier Tximitx was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 59th play minutes Cristo Licerio shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Felipe Frutos and just under the crossbar into goal. Javier Tximitx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Ariando in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Ariando in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Tximitx saved River Plate from getting behind. Javier Tximitx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Lando in the 68th minute. Angelo Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Tximitx having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Javier Tximitx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Lando. Joaquin Otoniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Felipe Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Kepa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Gabino during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santos Gabino hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Joaquin Otoniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Piamonte's Angelo Lando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Tximitx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Lando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Javier Tximitx when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wilfredo Ariando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. River Plate had won after a very even match.
