The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Serafin Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Olando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Cosme Matthew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Lartaun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Arano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. If Elpidio Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Domingo Chorache got free in front of the goal in the 20th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Iker Arano was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Pablo Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, DRAGONES DEL SUR's Donato Eufrasio got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a little luck, DRAGONES DEL SUR's Julian Olando got control of the ball when Pablo Eron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iker Arano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingo Chorache went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Domingo Chorache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Arano having to interfere. Elpidio Lartaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Iker Arano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Saucecito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Lartaun came free, but Iker Arano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When DRAGONES DEL SUR's Cosme Matthew in 47 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Iker Arano guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Iker Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Quintun during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luciano Quintun hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Domingo Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. Saucecito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DRAGONES DEL SUR the free kick. The supporters of DRAGONES DEL SUR booed when Saucecito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Maurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Domingo Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafin Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DRAGONES DEL SUR's Julian Olando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Rosalio in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saucecito FC's goalkeeper Iker Arano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Domingo Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
