Alfredo Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Alfredo Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benicio Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Lagash's Fidel Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Argina in the 36th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Benat during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CerradoxReformas's Ramon Benat got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Lagash's Alfredo Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benicio Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benicio Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Lagash's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Argina came free, but Fidel Savion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Florentino Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes, Segundo Milio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CerradoxReformas and the Lagash players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes CerradoxReformas got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Milio. 78 minutes into the match, CerradoxReformas's goalkeeper Benicio Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Elodio. Fidel Savion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Torres made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Godofredo Elodio sent off a good shot on target. Florentino Argina might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Savion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Argina ran back to his position shaking his head. Segundo Milio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Savion having to interfere.
