Ariel Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Grabiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Aurelio Perpinya's late challenge caught a Cicloneta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Perpinya helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ávalos's Aurelio Perpinya got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes, Cicloneta FC's Ramiro Quinito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Toli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cicloneta FC reached it. Ariel Toli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Ixaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cicloneta FC's Tomás Rivero got a free kick in the 15th minute. Francisco Erasto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Eliseo Tallia made a huge save. Denis Qwinton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eliseo Tallia came out and tried to block the shot, but Denis Qwinton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. When Venancio Ixaka came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cicloneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Ixaka couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Olivar charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casimiro Olivar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristo Mendez charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venancio Ixaka to strike the kick off in the second half. Venancio Ixaka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Rivero might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Toli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Rivero ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Qwinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Tallia having to interfere. Denis Qwinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Erasto in the 64th minute of play forced Cicloneta FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Tallia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Cicloneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Blasi. Aurelio Perpinya, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Cicloneta FC's Ramiro Quinito got a free kick in the 71st minute. Venancio Ixaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Toli having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ávalos defense, Venancio Ixaka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Toli. The Ávalos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Toli should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cicloneta FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
