Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicanor Donzel started the match with the kick off. Nicanor Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tafi Viejo F.C.'s goalkeeper Benigno Fraco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnulfo Tebaldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Benigno Fraco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Donzel in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Fraco saved Tafi Viejo F.C. from getting behind. Raul Juvenal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Benigno Fraco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Rancagua got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Florinio. Guaberto Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Paulino Quinten came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Tafi Viejo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Quinten couldn't finish the play. After the first half Tafi Viejo F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Quinten was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Guaberto Marko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tafi Viejo F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Marko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Casomiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tafi Viejo F.C.'s Paulino Quinten got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Tafi Viejo F.C.'s Paulino Quinten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amador Casomiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guaberto Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Nicanor Donzel made a precise shot to the right of Benigno Fraco. Tafi Viejo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tafi Viejo F.C.'s Sixto Castulo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Donzel in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Fraco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benigno Fraco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Tebaldo in the 78th minute of the match. If Guaberto Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Paulino Quinten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Casomiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Donzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Fraco having to interfere. Arnulfo Tebaldo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benigno Fraco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rancagua. After a defensive mix-up in Tafi Viejo F.C.'s zone, Freddy Florinio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Fraco came out of the goal and Freddy Florinio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
