In the 20th minute, Ismael Evis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Wilfredo Ceandro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Ceandro couldn't finish the play. Ismael Evis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eliseo Peli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Wilfredo Ceandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Isidro Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Erdiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Erdiano made a kick off. In the 56th minute Wilfredo Ceandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Erdiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ruben Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Isidro Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruben Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Ceandro in the 66th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Deportivo del sud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Galeno to maneuver through the defense. If Gonzalo Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Gonzalo Sidoro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Genaro Burutzagi's late challenge caught a Mercedes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Burutzagi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo del sud getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Genaro Burutzagi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Isidro Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Erdiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Erdiano took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Barrionuevo. Ruben Barrionuevo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The Deportivo del sud players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mercedes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
