Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mercedes's Isidro Erdiano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaime Eusko came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eliseo Peli could save by the left post. If Wilfredo Ceandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Lico kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Palmitas's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Ceandro came free, but Joel Berdaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Berdaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Erdiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Dacio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Marcos Bemabe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Berdaitz. Palmitas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jaime Eusko struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Eliseo Peli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmitas. Eliseo Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jaime Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Peli having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Herauso. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Terciero during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palmitas booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Terciero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Roque Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roque Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Marcos Bemabe hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 57th minute, Jaime Eusko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Erdiano in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Berdaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Eusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Roque Ledesma came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Palmitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Ledesma couldn't finish the play. Jaime Eusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eliseo Peli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Jaime Eusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Ceandros short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Joel Berdaitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 81st minute, Roque Ledesma made a precise shot to the right of Eliseo Peli. Mercedes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 85 played minutes Isidro Erdiano rounded Palmitas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Joel Berdaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Erdiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Eliseo Peli came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmitas's Jaime Eusko. But to his dismay, Jaime Eusko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Palmitas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mercedes for a fine match.
