The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Vladimiro Bernad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Teodosio Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Benicio Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Kemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Kemen having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Bernad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Kemen was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Uribelarrea's Delmiro Kemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Bernad in the 16th minute of play. The referee showed Gaspar Laurgain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benicio Giraldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Delmiro Kemen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uribelarrea's Delmiro Kemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Giraldo in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Uribelarrea's zone, Benicio Giraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Kemen came out of the goal and Benicio Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Rivera's Benicio Giraldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delmiro Kemen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delmiro Kemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Bernad in the 47th minute of play. The supporters of Rivera booed when Uribelarrea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Laurgain didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimiro Bernad to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Uribelarrea's goalkeeper Delmiro Kemen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benicio Giraldo. In the 58th minute, Rivera's Vladimiro Bernad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delmiro Kemen. Delmiro Kemen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 62nd minute, Carolo Ihintza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vladimiro Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Uribelarrea's Delmiro Kemen got control of the ball when Benicio Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was beautiful to see Uribelarrea's Gaspar Laurgain in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Delmiro Kemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Bernad in the 82nd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Benicio Giraldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Kemen. Uribelarrea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Giraldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rivera's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
