Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leo Joey got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Leo Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Tucuman's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Joey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Uzuri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th match minute, Vander United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Lucila to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Ignacio Eleazar in the 10th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gustavo Uzuri's left hand side. Gustavo Uzuri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Peyo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ubaldo Justin might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Grabiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Justin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Leo Joey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Joey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Uzuri having to make a save. In the 24th minute Remigio Fe suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Jacinto Peyo's late challenge caught a Vander United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Peyo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Tucuman's Jacinto Peyo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Guillermo Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Grabiel having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vander United's Ubaldo Justin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Grabiel. That made the score 1-1 after 37 minutes of play. Leo Joey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Peyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gustavo Uzuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ubaldo Justin made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Atletico Tucuman booed when Vander United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Raulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vander United's zone, Leo Joey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Uzuri came out of the goal and Leo Joey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Vander United's goalkeeper Gustavo Uzuri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Peyo. In the 69th minute Leo Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Uzuri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Justin in the 78th minute of play. If Ubaldo Justin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Leo Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Joey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Tucuman's goalkeeper Ivan Grabiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Club Atletico Tucuman's Leo Joey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Uzuri. Gustavo Uzuri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Gustavo Uzuri made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Jacinto Peyo sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atletico Tucuman eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
