When Ubaldo Justin came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Vander United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Justin couldn't finish the play. Anibal Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Justino Mikolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Gorosti scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justino Mikolas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Gorosti in the 14th minute of play forced Guañizul AFC's goalkeeper Justino Mikolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vander United's Anibal Gorosti got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruperto Opilano spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vander United's goal. Arnaldo Lapurdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Uzuri having to interfere. Vander United's Anibal Gorosti got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Guañizul AFC's Jaime Regis got a free kick in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Lapurdi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Conrado Casomiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Mikolas was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. A collision led to Guañizul AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gustavo Rosario hit a great ball. Gustavo Uzuri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Lapurdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ubaldo Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Justino Mikolas made a huge save. Vander United's Gustavo Uzuri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Opilano in the 66th minute of play. Vander United's Ubaldo Justin got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vander United's Ciro Lucila got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Ruperto Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Uzuri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Lapurdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Uzuri having to interfere. Gustavo Uzuri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Lapurdi in the 80th minute of the match. Arnaldo Lapurdi took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Uzuri. Gustavo Uzuri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 89th minute Ruperto Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Uzuri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Gorosti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Mikolas having to interfere. Anibal Gorosti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justino Mikolas having to make a save. In the 93rd play minute Ubaldo Justin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Justino Mikolas. 2-2.
