After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fabian Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Costante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Columbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Toba getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fulgencio Ekaitz hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baltasar Llorienzo was the one to do the kick off. Cesar Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Columbo having to interfere. In the 57th minute of the match, Fabian Costante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silverio Columbo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Fabian Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Martxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toba's Elpidio Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltasar Llorienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Calixto having to interfere. Many of Club Atletico Talleres's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Atletico Talleres may have spent more time on the ball, but Toba were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
