In the 13th minute of the match Elvio Lixandro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Edur skillfully saved the ball. Godfredo Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Laguna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indacochea the free kick. After a rather tough play, Laguna's Rodolfo Valery got a free kick in the 19th minute. Gabriel Columbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niceto Salamon charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Salamon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laguna fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Raul Lehior shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 28 minutes, Desiderio Daunte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indacochea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Daunte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Indacochea were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Laguna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raul Lehior took the corner. The corner ended in Gabriel Columbo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Laguna's Antonio Edur did a great save. In the 38th minute, Fausto Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Desiderio Daunte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Daunte in the 44th minute of play forced Laguna's goalkeeper Antonio Edur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Godfredo Bieito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Faustino Tebaldo to strike the kick off in the second half. Godfredo Bieito's late challenge caught a Indacochea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Valery hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Desiderio Daunte kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 66thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Laguna's keeper Antonio Edur was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Desiderio Daunte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Columbo during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Gabriel Columbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Edur made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Desiderio Daunte sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 77 minutes, Godfredo Bieito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laguna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Bieito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Godfredo Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rodolfo Valery came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Laguna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Valery couldn't finish the play. In the 86th match minute, Indacochea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Veto to maneuver through the defense. Laguna's Antonio Edur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Laguna from getting a goal against them. Antonio Edur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Daunte in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Laguna's Antonio Edur got control of the ball when Desiderio Daunte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
