Flavio Astigar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Romeo Maties made a huge save. Jonatan Ur struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Edelmiro Chale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lincho AFC. 17 minutes into the match, Lincho AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Euloxu came free, but Romeo Maties reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Epifanio Aguirre fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Temperley 1982's protests and gave Epifanio Aguirre a yellow card for diving instead. Lincho AFC's Reynaldo Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lincho AFC's Romeo Maties proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Lincho AFC from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Romeo Maties successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Flavio Astigar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lincho AFC's Benjamin Guillelme got a free kick in the 45th minute. Alberto Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Maties having to interfere. After the first half Lincho AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Romeo Maties tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alberto Euloxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Martxel in the 92nd minute of play forced Temperley 1982's goalkeeper Edelmiro Chale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lincho AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lincho AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
