The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosio Lon during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Luro's Ambrosio Lon got a free kick in the 14th minute. During the 16th minute of the match Ambrosio Lon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ambrosio Lon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 17th match minute, Luro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Lon to maneuver through the defense. Cerritos's Benedicto Lluc got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Francesco in the 24th minute of play forced Cerritos's goalkeeper Gerardo Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Lluc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnaldo Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Mundo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Diego Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Lluc, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Diego Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Lluc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Luro's zone, Jorge Orlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Benvido came out of the goal and Jorge Orlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Lluc was the one to do the kick off. Mauricio Lando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gerardo Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benedicto Lluc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Ermegildo Hotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 minutes, Albano Maidana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerritos and the Luro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Cerritos got a freekick which was hit by Albano Maidana. Gerardo Matia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Justo Ramond. Jorge Orlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Benvido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Orlin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Lluc in the 76th minute of play forced Luro's goalkeeper Diego Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Luro's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Orlin came free, but Diego Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cerritos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Luro's performance. The match ended with a win for Luro.
