Pascual Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Estebano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Urbano Atarratze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Nesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Saguión AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Martino came free, but Urbano Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artemio Martino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Estebano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Artemio Martino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Urbano Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Martino in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urbano Atarratze saved Saguión AFC from getting behind. Basilio Sidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateo Nesto scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urbano Atarratze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Artemio Martino took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urbano Atarratze. Urbano Atarratze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 55th minute of the match Jonas Ordono sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascual Ignazio skillfully saved the ball. Silvano Estebano took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascual Ignazio.
