The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. David Bitxintxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Leoiar in the 6th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Del Yoti got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Tirso. Portugalete AFC's Aurelio Gorbea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Portugalete AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th match minute, Del Yoti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Eufrasio to maneuver through the defense. Marcelino Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Gorbea having to interfere. David Bitxintxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Herena, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The attack was good, but when Clodoveo Leoiar in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 37th minute Clodoveo Leoiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugalete AFC's Aurelio Gorbea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Portugalete AFC from getting a goal against them. If Marcelino Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clodoveo Leoiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Astor Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Lehoi in the 55th minute of play forced Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Herena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Bitxintxo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Aurelio Gorbea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Lehoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clodoveo Leoiar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Bitxintxo came out and tried to block the shot, but Clodoveo Leoiar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 63rd minute. Portugalete AFC's Clodoveo Leoiar got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelino Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aurelio Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Loren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Baltasar Petri fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugalete AFC's protests and gave Baltasar Petri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Portugalete AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Petri to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Aurelio Lehoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Del Yoti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 88th minute, Portugalete AFC's Clodoveo Leoiar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Portugalete AFC's Clodoveo Leoiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Bitxintxo. That made the score 2-3 after 93 minutes of play. Gregorio Nazario kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portugalete AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
