After 13 played minutes Portugalete AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Casomiro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clodoveo Leoiar in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Ofelio saved Bouwer AFC from getting behind. When Primitivo Herena came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Portugalete AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Herena couldn't finish the play. The long shot by Silverio Benitez in the 26th minute really tested Fabian Ofelio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Bouwer AFC's Baldomero Pere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Gorbea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Clodoveo Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugalete AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Leoiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Ofelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Abel Koldo fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bouwer AFC's protests and gave Abel Koldo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Portugalete AFC's Clodoveo Leoiar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabian Ofelio. Fabian Ofelio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 40 minutes of play Bouwer AFC's Abel Koldo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 49th minute, Dario Fernendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baldomero Pere to strike the kick off in the second half. Clodoveo Leoiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Ofelio having to make a save. Baldomero Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Gorbea having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Portugalete AFC's Clodoveo Leoiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Ofelio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Bouwer AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Justin to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Herena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Ofelio having to make a save. Dario Fernendo's late challenge caught a Bouwer AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Fernendo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Portugalete AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. When Celestino Nofre fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bouwer AFC's protests and gave Celestino Nofre a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bouwer AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Celestino Nofre hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Bouwer AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Herena came free, but Fabian Ofelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clodoveo Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Fabian Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Camilo Caitano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
