The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Humberto Romildo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, JRCA's Alejo Nayely broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Claudio Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Romildo charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Romildo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simon Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Urtzi in the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in JRCA's zone, Rosendo Lop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Fraco came out of the goal and Rosendo Lop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, JRCA's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Lop came free, but Raimundo Fraco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 28th minute of the match Humberto Romildo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Humberto Romildo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Claudio Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in JRCA's zone, Remigio Venerando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Fraco came out of the goal and Remigio Venerando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Orlandus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remigio Venerando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Raimundo Fraco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute of the match, Hermengildo Orlandus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Simon Enekoitz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute, Rosendo Lop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Enekoitz having to interfere. Claudio Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Varrilete Cosmico's Simon Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Orlandus in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to F.C. Varrilete Cosmico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Dionisio Urtsua hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, JRCA's Alejo Nayely tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Hermengildo Orlandus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Enekoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Enekoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Orlandus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Varrilete Cosmico's zone, Bonifacio Marino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Enekoitz came out of the goal and Bonifacio Marino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Enekoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Orlandus, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. F.C. Varrilete Cosmico's Simon Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Orlandus in the 83rd minute of play. Remigio Venerando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fraco having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Claudio Urtzi could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Simon Enekoitz however easily saved by the left post. Hermengildo Orlandus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Simon Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
