The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Selmo got free with Sixto Errapel in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colmena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Juan Tanio scored to the left of an out of position Sixto Errapel, making the score, 1-1. Colmena's Sixto Errapel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Colmena from getting a goal against them. Santiago Selmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sixto Errapel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Tanio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixto Errapel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Tanio made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Abel Eztebe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Inocencio Rameriz, 2-2. When Santiago Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Twisters F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Selmo couldn't finish the play. Amador Cristos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Abel Eztebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Rameriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Selmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
