The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Quequén booed when All Pink was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Aquilino Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quequén's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave All Pink the free kick. In the 16th minute, Aquilino Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Quequén's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Clementi came free, but Ariel Luar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchor Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quequén's Eulalio Harriet got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ariel Luar made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Leonel Satordi sent off a good shot on target. Eulalio Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Diego Liberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Idacio in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Ceferino Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Luar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quequén's Eulalio Harriet got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melchor Idacio was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Luar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Satordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Quequén getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Leandro Tuste hit a great ball. Melchor Idacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Quequén's Aquilino Lopes got a free kick in the 96th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Clementi in the 97th minute of play forced Quequén's goalkeeper Ariel Luar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
