Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adrian Iban started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Abelardo Hustaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ardiles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 9th minute, Abelardo Hustaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Avellaneda's zone, Fermin Etxatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Fernandes came out of the goal and Fermin Etxatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Hustaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Rolando Fernandes made a huge save. Ardiles's Fermin Etxatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Etxatxu in the 20th minute of play. If Ramon Geofredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Geofredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lorenzo Otsoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Fernandes came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ardiles's Fermin Etxatxu. But to his dismay, Fermin Etxatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Fermin Etxatxu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ardiles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Etxatxu couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Hustaz got free with Rolando Fernandes in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Fermin Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardiles's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Etxatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fermin Etxatxu to strike the kick off in the second half. Fermin Etxatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian Iban charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Iban the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Iban to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Fermin Etxatxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Fernandes was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Rolando Fernandes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Etxatxu went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 67 minutes, Ramon Geofredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avellaneda and the Ardiles players grew even worse after the yellow card. 69 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Etxatxu came free, but Rolando Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Abelardo Hustaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardiles's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Hustaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fermin Etxatxu took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Fernandes. Rolando Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 78 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Iban. In the 79th minute of the match Rigoberto Jatsu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Fernandes skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adrian Iban hit a great ball. Abelardo Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Fernandes having to interfere. Abelardo Hustaz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Rolando Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ardiles. The audience was convinced that Aristides Telo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Fernandes was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Etxatxu in the 89th minute of play forced Avellaneda's goalkeeper Rolando Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Dei. Rigoberto Jatsu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Fernandes. Avellaneda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Fermin Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avellaneda's Rolando Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Etxatxu in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Ardiles players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
