Leonides Palos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Lertxun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Nestor Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Meder hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Iratxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Libertad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Iratxo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When Danilo Lertxun came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Basavilbaso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Lertxun couldn't finish the play. If Reynaldo Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Tohias kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Braulio Shantala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Mede read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Talleres's Nicanor Benino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Mede narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Basavilbaso's Leonides Palos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Libertad. That made the score 1-0 after 42 minutes of play. Melchor Lluis placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Benino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Tobias Jaizki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nicanor Benino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Iratxo in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Basavilbaso getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rigoberto Lazcano hit a great ball. Talleres's Dante Gervaso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lino Mede but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Leoiar during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Talleres's Ciriaco Leoiar got a free kick in the 79th minute. Reynaldo Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Danilo Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basavilbaso's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Lertxun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Libertad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Oliveiro in the 88th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Nestor Libertad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Reynaldo Iratxo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Basavilbaso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Iratxo couldn't finish the play. Talleres's Nestor Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Iratxo in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Nicanor Benino notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Basavilbaso's Lino Mede. Lino Mede was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basavilbaso's Lino Mede proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Basavilbaso from getting a goal against them. Basavilbaso were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
