If Emanuel Tallia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Wolves Ch's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Oihan came free, but Benigno Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulgencio Garaile's late challenge caught a Wolves Ch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Garaile helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute of the match Jaime Peru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Balesio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Romulo Clis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Abaunza having to interfere. Wolves Ch's Benigno Abaunza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Clis in the 31st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Wolves Ch's Rigoberto Mercurio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Balesio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Wolves Ch's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Dalmai came free, but Benigno Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Rigoberto Mercurio made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Melquiades Oihan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benigno Abaunza, passed just outside the right post. Melquiades Oihan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Abaunza having to interfere. Benigno Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Clis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Tallia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gavino Balesio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rigoberto Mercurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolves Ch's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Mercurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Balesio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Artemio Virila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Wolves Ch's Jaime Peru tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Romulo Clis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benigno Abaunza. The goal made the score 1-1. Emanuel Tallia took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavino Balesio. Gavino Balesio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gavino Balesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Tallia in the 90th minute of play. Newen Paraná's Romulo Clis got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Emanuel Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Balesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wolves Ch fans cheered their team off the field, for while Newen Paraná had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
