Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mariano Orlondon kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Roberto Donio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillermo Orlo. Toroyaco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Donio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Guillermo Orlo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Donio's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Guillermo Orlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Donio in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes C.A.Gardeles got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Oriol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Orlondon in the 15th minute of play forced C.A.Gardeles's goalkeeper Tiburcio Aires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siro Bilbo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, C.A.Gardeles's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Urko came free, but Tiburcio Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A.Gardeles's Roberto Donio got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Toroyaco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnoldo Brion fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Niceto Sauveur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toroyaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Sauveur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Aires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldo Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Orlo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Brion in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Donio to make the kick off. Tiburcio Aires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benigno Urko in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Arnoldo Brion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Toroyaco's Mariano Orlondon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiburcio Aires. Tiburcio Aires yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 63 minutes of play, C.A.Gardeles's Arnoldo Brion made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillermo Orlo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roberto Donio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Orlo having to make a save. If Mariano Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Benigno Urko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.Gardeles's Siro Bilbo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Gardeles's zone, Gaston Poz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Aires came out of the goal and Gaston Poz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arnoldo Brion came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the C.A.Gardeles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Brion couldn't finish the play.
