After a defensive mix-up in Tinoco AFC's zone, Victorino Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Txerran did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Guaberto Ponc 79 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Bochum 1848's Guaberto Ponc got control of the ball when Virgilio Txerran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clodoveo Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Guaberto Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
