Lalo Cura F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Liberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Isauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Peli in the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Lalo Cura F.C.'s goalkeeper Oscar Udalaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Orzaize. When Jacinto Oriol fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lalo Cura F.C.'s protests and gave Jacinto Oriol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Lalo Cura F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Oriol to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Wilfredo Gimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Liberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Maximo Isauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmacio Goito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Lalo Cura F.C.'s goalkeeper Oscar Udalaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Francis. Oscar Udalaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Orzaize in the 45th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvio Peli to make the kick off. Rodolfo Orzaize struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Oscar Udalaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figaro FC. In the 57th match minute, Lalo Cura F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Oriol to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Goito took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Udalaitz. Oscar Udalaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Lalo Cura F.C. booed when Figaro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Montrelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Elvio Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lalo Cura F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Isauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Peli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Lalo Cura F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Orzaize came free, but Oscar Udalaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Rodolfo Orzaize left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Figaro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 80 minutes into the game, Elvio Peli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lalo Cura F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figaro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lalo Cura F.C.'s Elvio Peli got a free kick in the 81st minute. Oscar Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Ruy in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmacio Goito in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Udalaitz saved Lalo Cura F.C. from getting behind. Wilfredo Gimenez's late challenge caught a Figaro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Gimenez helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Orzaize in the 88th minute of play forced Lalo Cura F.C.'s goalkeeper Oscar Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Figaro FC's Maximo Isauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Peli in the 90th minute of play. Elvio Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Maximo Isauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximo Isauro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfredo Gimenez in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Lalo Cura F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Liberto. Lalo Cura F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
