Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leo Benet got the match started through his kick off. Bonifacio Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Clementi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Tello in the 4th minute of play. Moises Loren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilano Rumaldo in the 7th minute. Atilano Rumaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Moises Loren made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Espinillos's goalkeeper Moises Loren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atilano Rumaldo. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinillos's goalkeeper Moises Loren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Leo Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilano Rumaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Loren having to interfere. After some careless play in the Def. de la Costa defense, Gerardo Espiridion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Clementi. The Def. de la Costa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Clementi should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Benet in the 32nd minute of play forced Espinillos's goalkeeper Moises Loren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moises Loren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Rumaldo in the 33rd minute of play. Hilario Clementi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Patrido hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of Espinillos booed when Def. de la Costa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Espiridion in the 48th minute of play forced Def. de la Costa's goalkeeper Hilario Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th minute Def. de la Costa were awarded a corner. Leonides Bento went to the cornerflag to take it. Def. de la Costa's Leonides Bento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moises Loren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Moises Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Benet, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Atilano Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Def. de la Costa's Leo Benet got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Def. de la Costa's zone, Arnoldo Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Clementi came out of the goal and Arnoldo Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Espiridion in the 76th minute of play forced Def. de la Costa's goalkeeper Hilario Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Rafael Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Espinillos's Gerardo Espiridion got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hilario Clementi made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Arnoldo Vasco sent off a good shot on target. Moises Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Benet in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Atilano Rumaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Loren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinillos's goalkeeper Moises Loren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerardo Espiridion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Clementi having to interfere. Arnoldo Vasco took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Clementi. Hilario Clementi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Def. de la Costa's zone, Arnoldo Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Clementi came out of the goal and Arnoldo Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Gerardo Espiridion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Espiridion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Clementi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
