After a defensive mix-up in Los Santos City's zone, Domingos Ritchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Cordero came out of the goal and Domingos Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eleuterio Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Enetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Paulino Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guiñazú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Cordero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldo Fonda's late challenge caught a Guiñazú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Fonda helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Los Santos City getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. After 24 minutes, Fulgencio Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Santos City and the Guiñazú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Los Santos City's Fulgencio Dabi got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Angelino Mero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eleuterio Joseph skillfully saved the ball. Benedicto Dolfos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Eleuterio Joseph made a huge save. If Natalio Enetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Benedicto Dolfos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Santos City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goalkeeper Eleuterio Joseph had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Dolfos. Domingos Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Enetz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Natalio Enetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Joseph having to interfere. Paulino Rios might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jairo Cordero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Rios ran back to his position shaking his head. Jairo Cordero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Ritchie's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Benedicto Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eleuterio Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Enetz in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzalo Honesto during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 70 minutes, Natalio Enetz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Santos City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Enetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benedicto Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Dolfos in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Gonzalo Olentzaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleuterio Joseph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Dolfos, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Domingos Ritchie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Santos City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guiñazú FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
