After 17 minutes, Arturo Ponc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celina CF and the 5 esquinas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Celina CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Ponc to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Celina CF's zone, Fulgencio Cordarrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustacio Marcones came out of the goal and Fulgencio Cordarrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, 5 esquinas's Arnaldo Bemabe got control of the ball when Faustino Ralondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in 5 esquinas's zone, Arturo Ponc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Bemabe came out of the goal and Arturo Ponc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rodolfo Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Marcones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Cordarrel in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, 5 esquinas's goalkeeper Arnaldo Bemabe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Ralondo. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulgencio Cordarrel made a kick off. Ovidio Txordon scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Bemabe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th match minute, 5 esquinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Beila to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Marcones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Bartoleme went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Eustacio Marcones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Cordarrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Fulgencio Cordarrel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eustacio Marcones having to make a save. Fulgencio Cordarrel might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustacio Marcones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulgencio Cordarrel ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciro Bartoleme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in 5 esquinas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Celina CF. Gonzalo Hermon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnaldo Bemabe. 3-2. Ciro Bartoleme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Eustacio Marcones made a huge save. Eustacio Marcones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Bartoleme in the 89th minute. Carolo Abadie hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, 5 esquinas's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Ralondo came free, but Arnaldo Bemabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
