To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Sirio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Leocadio came free, but Victorino Segio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernan Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Victorino Segio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Nafarroa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Victorino Segio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Lastur in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, los muertoss's Ivan Leocadio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorino Segio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorino Segio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half los muertoss were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Loi was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored Sirio FC's protests and gave Orlando Bilbo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Sirio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Bilbo to maneuver through the defense. After 88 minutes Sirio FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vicente Lastur who took care of the corner kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 101st minute Hernan Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The los muertoss players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
