Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lazzarino's Nemesio Guillelmo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Nemesio Guillelmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Maura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Lazzarino's Nemesio Guillelmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Maura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 8 minutes, Robustiano Cibran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matansilla AFC and the Lazzarino players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the game, Gogo Pelagius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matansilla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lazzarino the free kick. Gogo Pelagius hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Nemesio Guillelmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Maura having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lazzarino's zone, Cipriano Pelagius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Napier came out of the goal and Cipriano Pelagius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robustiano Cibrans short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Silvio Napier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Faustino Florian charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Florian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Lazzarino got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Florian. Cipriano Pelagius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21stth minute of the game Gogo Pelagius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lazzarino's Silvio Napier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Pelagius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gogo Pelagius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Matansilla AFC's zone, Mauro Favila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Maura came out of the goal and Mauro Favila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvestre Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Guillelmo in the 38th minute of the match. Silvestre Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Guillelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Silvestre Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Mancio in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Silvio Napier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pelagius in the 52nd minute of play. Gogo Pelagius struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Silvio Napier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matansilla AFC. In the 58th minute Gogo Pelagius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Gogo Pelagius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's goalkeeper Silvestre Maura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Favila. Silvestre Maura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Favila in the 69th minute. Mauro Favila came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silvestre Maura could save by the left post. Nemesio Guillelmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Lazzarino booed when Matansilla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Benet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Favila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Silvestre Maura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blas Mancio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a little luck, Matansilla AFC's Silvestre Maura got control of the ball when Mauro Favila tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Lazzarino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lazzarino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
